Nukeproof Reactor 290 Factory Carbon Bike (XT) ...

Nukeproof Reactor 290 Factory Carbon Bike (XT)Built around a full UD carbon fibre frame, the Reactor 290 Factory Carbon Bike will dominate the most challenging trails with ease. In addition to the advanced frame, it boasts Fox Factory suspension, a Shimano XT 1x12 groupset, plus a strong DT Swiss M1700 SPLINE 30 wheelset.Frame Construction:From concept through to design, the Kinematics, the geometry and specification; the Reactor is designed from the ground up to be the ultimate aggressive trail bike. It is at home on technical climbs, but happiest when thrashing the most technical trails you can point it at. To optimise the weight, strength and stiffness, the Reactor Carbon frame features a full UD woven carbon fibre frameset (Including chain and seat stays). It is available for 27.5” or 29” wheel sizes. These are two totally different, compromise-free frames that were designed and developed at the same time.  Each frame is simply tailored around each wheel size.Speed or play: which do you value more? The manoeuvrability of 27.5” or the raw speed of a 29”? Adjustable GeometryAll Reactor frames feature a “flip chip” to adjust the geometry from “Trail” to “Rail mode”.Trail - As the name suggests, this setting is best suited for trail riding. It is for riders who get as much enjoyment from the climb as the descents.Rail - The Rail setting turns the Reactor into a corner shredder, dropping the bottom bracket 6mm and slackening the head angle by half a degree. It is there to maximise descending capabilities.Suspension DesignTo ensure the bike could climb as well as it descends, Nukeproof designed the 4 bar horst linkage to have higher levels of anti-squat for climbing gears but lower levels when you drop down the cassette. This means that the bike can behave itself on the climbs but when you get it up to speed, it turns into a trail hooligan. The combination of low anti-squat and progressive rate give ultimate small bump compliance (removes rough trail and root chatter) with good mid stroke support for cornering/pumping and end stroke progression for aggressive riding. Balanced anti-rise figures allow the Reactor some squat when braking hard, maintaining rider position and providing a good amount of pressure through the tyre to ensure traction. The Reactor is designed to reward the rider and ensure you get that stoke factor on any ride.Features:Frame: Nukeproof Reactor 290 Carbon, 130mm Travel, UD woven Carbon Fibre frame, internal cable routing, ISCG 05 mounts, Enduro bearings, Threaded 73mm BB, Boost 148mm rear axle spacing, 3D contoured rubber frame protection Fork: Fox 36 Float, Factory Series, Kashima, Grip 2 Damper, 140mm, 44mm Offset, BOOST, Black (SHORT ID: D6GD) Shock: Fox Float DPX2, Factory Series, Kashima, 3 Position, EVOL LV, Custom CL, DRL, Rezi A F F tune, 210x55mm, Bearing End, 1x 0.3 spacer fitted. The Trail setting is best suited for pumping and carving your rhythm and style into the mountainside and still caters for rides who love the climb as much as the descent. On the other hand, the Rail setting turns the Reactor into an adrenaline-fuelled gravity tamer. Dropping the bottom bracket height by 6mm and slackening the head angle by half a degree, these changes give this Reactor greater stability and control when the trail leans downhill towards vertical. Nukeproof 4-Bar Horst Linkage Suspension Design: Ensuring the bike can climb as well as it descends, Nukeproof focussed on fine-tuning their 4-Bar Horst linkage suspension setup to give higher levels of anti-squat performance when higher up the cassette in the climbing gears, but also to deliver greater trail-gobbling performance when you drop down the cassette and begin descending the mountain. This means that the bike behaves itself on the climbs and grips with unprecedented traction and efficiency when making your way back towards sea-level. When you get it up to speed and drop a few gears to carry momentum, this bike turns into a trail hooligan and helps you carve the trail with style. The combination of low anti-squat and progressive suspension-rate give it the ultimate in small bump compliance (removes rough trail and root chatter) with good mid-stroke support for cornering/pumping and end stroke progression for aggressive riding. With balanced anti-rise suspension performance, the Reactor provides some squat when braking hard, maintaining rider position and providing a good amount of pressure through the tyre to ensure stability and traction. The Reactor is designed to reward the rider and ensure you get that stoke factor in on any ride.Easy AssemblyWhen you order a bike, one of our trained mechanics will carefully prepare and pack your bike for shipping. The Reactor is designed to reward the rider and ensure you get that stoke factor on any ride.Features:Frame: Nukeproof Reactor 275 Carbon, 140mm Travel, UD woven Carbon Fibre frame, internal cable routing, ISCG 05 mounts, Enduro bearings, Threaded 73mm BB, Boost 148mm rear axle spacing, 3D contoured rubber frame protection Fork: Fox 36 Float, Factory Series, Kashima, Grip 2 Damper, 150mm, 44mm Offset, BOOST, Black (SHORT ID: D6GG) Shock: Fox Float DPX2, Factory Series, Kashima, 3 Position, EVOL LV, Custom CL, DRL, Rezi A F F tune, 210x55mm, Bearing End, 1x 0.3 spacer fitted. Nukeproof Reactor 275 Factory Carbon Bike (XT)Ready to rip up the trails, the Reactor 275 Factory model combines a tough, light and responsive UD carbon fibre frame with high-end components. These include Fox Factory-series forks and rear shock, a Shimano SLX 1x12 groupset with 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes and a strong DT Swiss M1700 SPLINE 30 wheelset.Frame Construction:From concept through to design, the Kinematics, the geometry and specification; the Reactor is designed from the ground up to be the ultimate aggressive trail bike. Adjustable GeometryAll Reactor frames feature a “flip chip” to adjust the geometry from “Trail” to “Rail mode”.Trail - As the name suggests, this setting is best suited for trail riding. It is there to maximise descending capabilities.Suspension DesignTo ensure the bike could climb as well as it descends, Nukeproof designed the 4 bar horst linkage to have higher levels of anti-squat for climbing gears but lower levels when you drop down the cassette. This Mega Factory Carbon is equipped with Kashima coated Fox 38 Float Factory suspension forks with a Float X2 Factory shock at the rear, giving exceptional traction, stability and control when climbing and descending. Also, this full-suspension bike is armed with a Shimano XT M8100 12-Speed groupset with 4-Pot hydraulic disc brakes and rolls upon DT Swiss E1700 wheels wrapped in Tubeless Ready Michelin Wild Enduro tyres. The Nukeproof Mega: an “enduro bike” that was ahead of its time. Originally developed and later named after the race it was designed for on the infamous trails of Alp D’Huez. Multiple World Series Championship Victories To date the Mega platform is one of the most highly decorated race bikes on the market: with the 2017, 2018 (x2) and 2019 Enduro World Series Titles; a Downhill World Championship top 10 and a Silver Medal at the 4x World Championship to its name. (As well as a host of other national and international victories and titles!) Optimised Enduro Race Performance Since 2009 the Nukeproof Mega has been a constant path of development to meet the evolving demands of our riders and customers alike. The Nukeproof team are relentlessly striving for improvements and with each generation, the Mega has been chiselled and shaped into today’s thoroughbred Enduro race bike. With the launch of the 2020 Carbon Mega 290c, you could forgive their designers for resting on their laurels. However, as Nukeproof products are developed between the tapes, there is a constant desire to hone and refine in order to give Nukeproof athletes and riders the best possible chance of standing on top of the podium. Improved Sizing, Fit and Geometry Designed as an evolution of the ultimate Enduro bike, the new Mega V4 has been fully reimagined for 2021 to offer optimised sizing/fit, improved Geometry and suspension kinematics on a brand new all-carbon chassis. Most importantly you can now fit a water bottle inside the main front triangle! High Quality Carbon Frame Construction: To optimise the weight, strength and stiffness, the new Mega Carbon frame features a T700/800 UD woven carbon fibre frameset (Front and rear Triangle). The new carbon swingarms help reduce the unsprung weight on the rear of the bike. It is available for 27.5” or 29” wheel sizes. These are two totally different, compromise-free frames that were designed and developed at the same time. Each frame is simply tailored around each wheel size so that you can get the most out of every ride. Updated Sizing/Geometry: Whilst humans may not have changed size much in recent years; the bikes they choose to ride most certainly have. To ensure a perfectly dialled fit Nukeproof now offer 5 frames sizes: Small through to XX-Large with evenly spaced jumps between each. Lower, longer, steeper and slacker! The Mega's new geometry is now designed around the saddle offset for each size to optimise seated weight distribution. This results in steeper seat angles across the board but especially on larger sizes for taller riders. This in turn results in longer reach figures to ensure a comfortable cockpit on each size. To further aid the perfect fit we have also used shorter seat tubes which are designed to maximise seat post insertion depths. Finally, all new Mega bikes are now designed to use short offset forks to further improve both climbing and descending capabilities. Suspension Design: To step-change the Mega’s suspension design Nukeproof went back to the drawing board and started afresh. They redesigned the Mega 4 bar horst linkage to be super supple over small bumps, progressive and supportive throughout the mid stoke for support when pedalling, cornering and pumping, with increased end stroke leverage to allow more tuning options with volume spacers. The new kinematic is designed to have higher levels of anti-squat for climbing gears but this reduces as you drop down the cassette. The result is a bike that is more confidence-inspiring everywhere on the hill. It behaves itself on the climbs but can still be thrashed through the roughest and most technical terrain on the way back down. Features:  Frame: Nukeproof Mega V4 275 Carbon, 165mm Travel, ultra-strong monocoque UD Carbon Fibre frame, internally piped cable routing, ISCG 05 mounts, Enduro Bearings, Threaded 73mm BB, Boost 148mm rear axle spacing, 3D contoured Rubber frame protection and Factory fitted clear paint protection kit covering TT/DT/CS/SS Fork: Fox 38 Float, Factory Series, Kashima, Grip 2 Damper, 170mm, 37mm Offset, BOOST, Black (SHORT ID: D6G5) Shock: Fox Float X2, Factory Series, Kashima, EVOL, 2 Position lever, Custom CL, RM, Rezi CM tune, 230x65mm, Bearing End, 2x 0.3 spacer fitted.
